Sagi Refael Fall 2019 Update

Curator in Residence: Spring 2018

Sagi Refael was a Curator In Residence at the Squire Foundation in Spring 2018, when he was working on the huge group exhibition “70.70.70.—Israeli art in Santa Barbara”.

Among his forthcoming activities are the group exhibition “Table Of Contents/Table Of Contacts”, part of the Jerusalem Bienniale, showcasing the work of contemporary Jewish artists from Southern California, alongside a multi channel video installation, presenting thoughts and approaches of American Jewry to current political conflicts and complex identities both in the USA and in Israel.
Details about the Jerusalem Bienniale can be viewed HERE

Refael will also start teaching a new course at the end of October 2019 - “Introduction to Israeli Art: Past, Present and Future” at the American Jewish University in Bel Air, CA.
The course is open to the general public, not only for AJU students, so if you have always been curious about Israeli art history and culture, this is a great opportunity to discover it!
