The Squire Foundation is dedicated to creating and supporting programs that engage the community in the arts through education. Built into every Squire program is an educational output component, ensuring not only maximum social impact, but an accountability that gives us the ability to respond to community needs. Education outreach, for us, is how we innovate and grow - through a dialogue with the communities we serve.
Our Outreach Projects include:
Throughout the year, we organize and support public art shows with Alumni Artists in Residence, not only to support and enrich our communities, but in the interest of creating cross-pollinating connections and dialogue among our members and alumni. Good art needs good friends.
From our lending library, we work to place Morris B. Squire's animal sculptures in county-wide public places, making them widely accessible to the general public to enjoy year round.
Through a range of rotating collaborations with our Squire community, we bring together artists and the public to engage in making art together. Programs range from artist talks to poetry readings to pottery classes, and each one builds another component into the Squire network.
