70.70.70. Israeli Artists in Santa Barbara
The exhibition, initiated and curated by Sagi Refael (a Squire Artist in Residence Spring 2018) and Santa Barbara local Lynn Holley, introduced a total of 70-emerging, mid-career and established working artists in three different venues over the course of three months. This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between The Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara (Art@theJCC), SBCAST (Santa Barbara Center for Arts, Science & Technology) and GraySpace Gallery. This major group-exhibition of Israeli art in Santa Barbara celebrates the occasion of the 70th Anniversary/Independence Day of the State of Israel, which was formed on May 14, 1948. The exhibitions are graciously sponsored by The Squire Foundation.

Two Israeli artists in residence plus multiple Video artists' projections
For the month of May, SBCAST hosts two Israeli artists in residence as part of the 70.70.70 exhibition.
- Sally Krysztal Kramberg, painter, video and performance artist, May 1-13. Sally Krysztal Kramberg, lives and works in Tel-Aviv. Her work has been in museums and galleries from Israel to London, Los Angeles to Miami. Her work is edgy and interesting, with commentary on life that resonates with many. Her exhibition is titled: CHARIVARI, a look behind the circus.

- Performance Piece: Saturday May 12, 6:00-7:00 pm, with reception.
- Hila Laiser-Beja, metal and welding artist, May 14-29.
