Nicole Berry is an artist with a background in fashion, photography and painting. Her latest works in Japan consisted of being an Ambassador Photographer on behalf of Hasselblad Cameras, participated in their artist community events and talks. Nicole opened Tokyo Photo with portraits and spoke at CP+ Asia while photographing the public at the on-site studio with the first camera to shoot earth from the moon. A contributing writer for L'Oeil de la Photographie covering Kyoto's first international Photography Festival and creating an art installation while working with artist collective Tokyo Dex for RDC Rainbow Disco Club in Shibuya, Tokyo. Featured in In Touch Tokyo for her women’s portrait studio at the Tokyo American Club. Nicole was invited to show her work at artist underground Talks Super Deluxe in Tokyo. And her last installation was an art piece commissioned by Ace to be featured in one of Tokyo's most contemporary building's, 3M, in Tokyo.
Nicole and crew all women artist collective known as GVB: Sophia Recalde and Jenna Albright Fine Art Photography was featured at Sundance Film Festival in the ASCAP Artist venue. Works created were sponsored by ACE Hardware and Beach Bunny Swimwear and the exhibition held a live photoshoot. In conjunction with Pop Artist Devon Stanfield Nicole was involved in community art outreach program helping kids paint pop art pieces displayed during the festival.
Working in the film and photography industry, Nicole has received credit from contributing in various media outlets such as Vogue, GQ, Playboy and The style Network. While enrolled at Brooks Institute of Photography, Nicole was hired by renowned studio Black Light Films in Studio City, CA where she continued to train her eye. In Aspen, Colorado, Nicole styled imagery for Aspen Magazine Covers, Architectural Digest features and artists in residency films at Aspen Art Museum. Nicole moved to New York and was involved in photoshoots for Barneys, Vogue, i-D and Purple Magazine.
Nicole's photography has been collected throughout Japan, Hong Kong, U.K. and U.S., Commercially and by private collectors.
While living in Tokyo, she brought her years of high fashion photography and styling experience to shoots in the Japanese capital of art and fashion. Nicole, according to client appraisals, is at her best when she is in the moment; bringing the client, an eye for fashion and sensitivity to the environment together for artistic and best aesthetic results.
