Taylor Bibat is a Chicago native and Oberlin College Alum. She is a multidisciplinary artist and producer whose work pours from the desire to tear down walls and facades and reshape society into a honest and trusting community of humans. She is especially interested in the intersection of various art forms and how they can work together to express and touch. She worked for 9 years in Chicago theater and her puppetry credits there include work with Redmoon Theater and Blair Thomas and Company. She was a main player in the first annual Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival in 2015. Puppet film production work includes: 2nd AD for Sam Koji Hale’s Yamasong: March of the Hollows, 1st AD for Christine Papalexis’ Amaterasu, and Assistant Curator for the Reel Puppetry Festival at The P of A National Puppetry Festival (2017.) She also worked on The Jim Henson Company’s PBS kids show Splash and Bubbles, and was the 2nd AD for a test for Henson/Netflix new show The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. She has performed in the LA Puppet Guild's Puppetzilla, and has worked as a film puppeteer in LA, but sometimes film work takes a while to be made public... Taylor is currently the Executive Producer at Fonco Creative Services and will always be a proud alum of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Puppetry Conference, 2012-2015.
